Self-similar Realities
Image 14 of 14
Medium: Digital print and oil on canvas Dimensions: 53" x 60" A nautilus generates a special spiral, a self-similar curve which keeps its shape at all scales. It‘s equiangular because a radial line from the center always has the same angle to the curve. We should imagine this curve potentially spiraling inward forever as well as outward.
